Joint Police–Gendarmerie Operations: Minister of Interior Supervises Major Security Deployment in Dakar

During the night of Saturday 22 to Sunday 23 November 2025, the Minister of Interior and Public Security joined a large-scale security operation conducted jointly by the National Police and the Gendarmerie across the entire Dakar region. His presence on the ground illustrates the government’s commitment to strengthening public safety while enhancing coordination between the various security forces.

According to the Ministry, these security deployments will continue in the coming days, with permanent devices already established along several key strategic routes of the capital identified as critical for crime prevention.
