New Year’s Greetings: The Head of State Reaffirms Commitment to Republican Principles

On Friday, January 2, 2026, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye received the New Year’s greetings from the State's constituted bodies at the Presidential Palace, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the continuity of the State, respect for institutions, the consolidation of the national pact.



The traditional New Year’s greeting ceremony took place with great solemnity at the Presidential Palace. In front of high-ranking officials, magistrates, dignitaries, representatives of the defense and security forces, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye reaffirmed his unwavering attachment to the principles of republican continuity, institutional responsibility, transparency.
